Theresa Zumwinkel helps women break free from survival mode and feel steady, present, and aligned—body, mind, and spirit. As an Army veteran, mom of two, and former chronic overachiever, she knows firsthand what it’s like to live in a constant state of anxiety and burnout. Through nervous system regulation, holistic lifestyle shifts, and a deep reconnection to what truly matters, she learned to work with her brain and body instead of against them. Her own transformation inspired her to become a Certified Health Coach and guide other women with compassion and clarity as they reclaim their energy and their lives. Theresa lives in Clarksville, Tennessee, with her husband and two children.

My Story

For years, I lived with crippling anxiety and relentless depression. I canceled playdates, skipped school events, lost friends, and hid at home because it felt like the only place I could survive. I was overwhelmed and paralyzed as life piled up around me. I wasn’t eating well, I wasn’t sleeping well, and I lost an unhealthy amount of weight. I felt like a shell of myself—disconnected, drained, and foggy. Most days, I just sat with my kids, turned on a movie, and scrolled my phone to escape what felt like an endless struggle.

I tried medication, which helped my depression, but left me feeling numb. I forced myself into social situations that left me completely exhausted. I truly believed I was broken—that maybe I just wasn’t cut out for motherhood.

Then something unexpected happened. I got a painful cavity and didn’t have insurance to fix it. Since sugary foods made the pain unbearable, I cut them out. Within days, something shifted. The mental fog that had weighed me down began to lift, like someone had opened a window in my brain and let the light in.

That one unintentional change sparked a realization: what I was putting into my body was affecting everything; my energy, my emotions, even my ability to think clearly. I began researching how to support my body and learned how to stop fighting my brain and start working with it.

The more I learned and implemented, the better I started to feel. My anxiety lifted, my depression disappeared. The tools I learned changed my life and allowed me to rediscover who I am and helped me to be the mom I always wanted to be. I finally felt balanced and connected again.
